El Paso is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around El Paso is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

UPDATED COMMENT, Attempted to Revisit. Went back and hoped to give it another try, but the bathroom wasn't operating, and we were turned away, despite it being full of people and a few seats at the bar. What a disappointment. I am probably not going to give this place a 3rd chance. _______________________________________________________________ Proof and Press is a tucked-away gem with a great atmosphere and really solid drinks. The space is comfortable and inviting, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Drinks were very affordable, especially for the quality, which was a nice surprise. The only downside was the food. Options were limited and those few items were not in stock during our visit. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind. Overall, a great spot for drinks and definitely worth checking out.

Best cocktail bar! They truly care about balance and flavor. Presentation and vibes are perfect for a casual night out with friends. Not too much noise, so you can have wonderful conversations with friends. I will come here again and again! Update: I have been back several times and it never gets old!

Adriana is the best mixologist to ever grace the earth she has magic fingers and an other worldly palate for the finest creations. She can turn a well into a canvas of artβ¦ my favorite cocktails are Mezcal Paper Plane and the Gold Rush personally but ive never had one here that disappointed. Great viberas and great times. I have always wanted to try prof and press since being back in town. We went on a Tuesday night, aside from a couple of people at the bar, we were the only ones there. Jonathan, our server and bartender, greeted us right away. He was amazing. They have plenty of drinks on the menu but I asked him to surprise me with anything of his choosing. He ended up serving me amazing drinks that werenβt on the menu. He is very talented and gave us great service. As far as the food, we wanted to try the flatbreads. We did have an incident were one of the flatbreads fell to the floor and they were so kind and replaced it for us. Even if it was our fault. They handled the situation great and we appreciated them. The only negative I have from this place was the restroom, they are not as clean as I would like them to be, you can see they arenβt clean even with the dark lighting they have. Aside from that, I would go back to proof and press again and try more of their cocktails π
